Night Elf- final panel by blackshirtboy Night Elf- final panel by blackshirtboy
Coloured version I did of the last panel from my last comic.
More an experiment in colour and shadow than anything else, I enjoyed playing around with it.

red-lined, inked, photoshopped

Those eyes are _really_ haunting. I'd expect few tips, if not for the happy band in the front.
Ah well...
The colors work well to create a strangely dingy palette ow warm colors. There's remarkably little black here, and you use what you have very well. I personally love that despite the warm colors, the whole atmosphere seems alienating; smiles in the front, what looks like a happy pair in the back, and even the angry barkeep almost seems to have a smirk, but there's no one responding to her confusion in there.

Odd stuff; I didn't quite recognize the guy in the back as an actual guy; instead assuming she had either a bustle or quite a back. Couldn't figure out what his head was, as there's no reason to give a drow what looks like a bunny tail... aside from the awesome, of course.

Wonderful body language, made even better by the utter lack of any kind of heroic pose. Our centerpiece looks shocked and confused, the barkeep's shoulder's are slumped and he's slouching even as he gives orders. No one is sitting with airs or pride, and it just works so damn well to set the scene. This is not your parodied bar of adventurers; this is a bilge dive where salt comes to spread its coppers and swap laughter.

Wow, I really do appreciate you taking the time to sit and have a good look at my drawing then again taking the time to write all that out. Thank you so much XD
Also at the mention of the guys head/bunny tail I went back and had a closer look and yeah, it is a bit hard to tell it's a guy, especially when it looks like he's just sitting on a chair in the middle of the room looking at the corner.

Actually, with the hair tilted like that, I kind of suspect he's a friend of the guy talking to what looks like Mr DNA's avatar, perhaps shy-er or less trusting. The only part that creates the confusion is how very close the shadows are on both her skirt and his shirt.

Alternatively, he's on mysterious dude with a quest watch so they can keep this place reputable.

That long comment summed it up pretty well zalabar, so I won't dwell on those parts and just nitpick a little ;)

Yeah, she's got the colours of a Drow, not a WoWy (*shudder*) Nightelf. Although, who knows which fantastic world this is situated in, so to Fridge-Space-Hell with categorizations like that :P

Also, if you tilt your head to the right and sqint your eyes like this(tm), the probably-Mr-DNA-friend looks a little like an early Guybrush Threepwood in his spare-clothes ;)

And yes, I like aaaall the expressions here. It looks like part of greater story. No matter if it's just a one-shot-practice or not.

That wouldn't happen to be one Mr DNA back there, would it?
